It’s been a busy few months here in the studio. Finishing off the 52nd episode of Doodles on ABC3, Sketchy Show’s first season for Cartoon Network and The Family Law – which should broadcast next year on SBS. Oh, and Snake Sheila (Snake Boss in Australia) is on Discovery’s Animal Planet in the UK and Aus right now. All top stuff! On top of this, Maximum Choppage is nominated for Best Television Theme at the Screen Music Awards which is super cool!
It’s been a great few months working on some top notch shows. I’m looking forward to sharing them all.
Joff Bush has just won the best music part of the best music/sound at the Green Room awards in Melbourne. Big congrats also to Jesse Cox (director/writer/narrator) and Sonar’s Luke Mynott (sound designer) who share this award. Success!
Awesome to announce that Joff Bush has been nominated for best music along with the super-talented Luke Mynott (Sonar) and incredible Jesse Cox for a shared ‘best sound/music’ category in the 32nd Green Room Awards. Find out more about the show in the ‘projects’ section.
Unfortunately Joff Bush has been flat out on many things to keep recent updates happening. BUT emerging from his nest of musical delights to say: Check out Maximum Choppage on ABC2 this Tuesday and on iview after that.

So nice to be getting such a warm response to the A Man On The Edge score. Edward’s film was a gift to write to and its a really great feeling to win best score at the Long Island International Film Expo. Thanks to everyone involved. You can check out A Man On The Edge, HERE
The Joff Bush is about to dive into writing for ABC’s new show: ‘Maximum Choppage’. It’s a show that can absorb a lot of music and so far, it’s looking amazing. On top of this, Joff Bush will be in Melbourne late April/early May to work on more great things. The theatre show, ‘Wael Zuaiter: Unknown’ can be viewed by purchasing tickets here : www.theatreworks.org.au/whatson/event/?id=201.
Look out for them both! There’s also a bunch of new commercial work up on the Rumble Studios site. All this means Joff Bush doesn’t sleep until July.
I’m very much honoured to be one of the 2013 American Society of Composers, Authors & Publisher’s 2013 ‘COMPOSERS TO WATCH’. I expect to see a group of tweed covered composer-watchers around inner Sydney any time now.
If you’re a composer-watcher, a full description can be found here: http://www.ascap.com/eventsawards/events/fsw/nyu/2013/profiles/joff-bush.aspx
Big thanks to everyone who came to Radio with Pictures live at the Sydney Opera House. If you missed it and missed the Radio National broadcast you can view some of the stories in all their pictorial glory here: radiowithpictures.com.au
Hello. It’s been 6 months since the slightest chirp was heard from Joff Bush in internet land. He’s been locked away in a cubicle in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley finishing the ABC TV series ‘Strange Calls’ and some other things that cannot be announced yet. More updates soon. It’s time to dust off this old Website.
A recent batch of compositions bursting into ears include some tunes written for ‘Pinocchio, histoire d’un coup de latte’. A delicious theatre production that is currently touring in France. Check it out in the ‘projects’ section of this site… or click here.
Strange Calls is a comedy series currently in development for the ABC starring Barry Crocker and Toby Truslove. It’s ‘Mother and Son meets The X files’ and is going to be fantastic. Here is a little taste of the score. Look out for it in 2012.
