Joff’s Notes
This was a really fun project. The approach was simply to write music that I felt described the characters in Pinocchio. The music and the production is based on the original story (were Pinocchio is a vindictive little shit) and not the Disney version. I found each character interesting and well defined – which lends itself easily to musical interpretation. The small budget was a bit of a limitation but it meant that the thematic material itself had to be strong.
