The sound and music was designed to engage the audience as quickly as possible. It was intended to feel instantly like the climax of a thriller, without giving the distasteful impression of a spoof. The gravelly sonorities of the electric guitar played with a violin bow, whilst textually blending with the radio static, suggested something was about to snap.
